How electric power steering (EPS) works

Word:[Big][Middle][Small] QR Code 2024/9/25     Viewed:
When the driver does not steer, the help motor does not work

When the driver rotates the steering disk, the torque (steering Angle) sensor connected to the steering shaft continuously measures the torque (direction) acting on the steering shaft, and converts the torque into an electrical signal. The speed sensor generates the speed signal and transmits it to the ECU. The ECU sends out control instructions to the clutch and motor according to the two signals and after calculation and processing. That is, output a suitable current, while the clutch is combined, the motor produces a torque, and the torque is applied to the output shaft after the reduction mechanism decelerates and increases the distance. The lower end of the output shaft is connected with the pinion in the pinion and rack steering assembly, so the torque emitted by the motor is finally applied to the steering mechanism of the car through the pinion and rack steering device. Make it get a steering power that is suitable for the working condition.
